We size a dryer from wet feed rate, inlet and target moisture, material temperature limits and available fuel. That is more useful than quoting a drum diameter alone.
Discuss your material →Dryer performance depends on water removal—not only wet feed capacity. NovaGen evaluates inlet moisture, target moisture, evaporation load, particle distribution, heat source and local emissions requirements before sizing the system.
Moisture conditioning ahead of biomass pellet production.
Drying straw, husk, bagasse and fibrous crop waste.
Controlled drying before briquetting or carbonization.
Project-specific drying of granular or fibrous materials.
Meter wet material into the dryer.
Produce controlled hot gas from selected fuel.
Maximize heat and mass transfer in the drum.
Cyclone separates solids from exhaust gas.
Cool or transfer dried material downstream.
| Selection factor | What we need | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Evaporation load | Wet feed and moisture difference | Primary basis for thermal sizing |
| Material sensitivity | Temperature and residence limits | Controls process conditions |
| Heat source | Fuel availability and cost | Controls furnace design |
| Emissions | Destination requirements | Controls gas treatment scope |
Capacity should be based on kilograms of water evaporated per hour, considering inlet and target moisture, rather than wet feed alone.
A biomass-fired hot-gas generator may be suitable depending on fuel quality, operating control and local emissions requirements.
Stable feeding, temperature monitoring, spark control, housekeeping and project-specific protection measures are considered during engineering.
Send a few material photos, the hourly target, required output and destination country. We will reply with any missing questions before recommending a configuration.
